A promising cozily rewarding game that feels polished already | Early Access Review - Cozy Islands ReviewCozy Islands – craft & build revolves around crafting and building, offering players the opportunity to construct their dream village step by step. Developed and provided by Tetrox Limited, it is currently in early access for Android users in the United States, although I was able to access it here on TapTap, even without the need for a VPN. The free-to-play game seems to be fully offline for now with online functionality and in-app purchases.

Recently, I had the opportunity to play a bit of the Driftopia Beta Test, a survival crafting game set on an alien ocean planet, waiting to be explored and discovered. Driftopia, though still in beta on Android, attempts to merge the best elements of oceanic survival games.

7/10Now on Mobile (Cloud), It’s basically Brotato on steroids, but it needs more work | Wild Legion ReviewI’ve been on a rogue-like roll recently, and now we’re about to cover yet another game the in the genre with Wild Legion, an upcoming rogue-like survival game with some refreshing twists. I recently played the Demo available on Steam and it’s basically Brotato on steroids, featuring auto-attack horder survival gameplay filled with elements taken from other genres such as tower defense, twin-stick shooting, crafting, and questing. The game is still under development, and set to be release in Early Access on Q1 2024.

7/10Once Human is an upcoming fascinating amalgamation of multiple video game themes; Death Stranding, Control, and Alan Wake, blending post-apocalyptic and sci-fi elements into a genre that I somewhat found surprising and out-of-place, ---- an open-world sandbox. The game introduces players to a world ravaged by the Stardust, an alien entity infesting everything, turning them into monstrous forms. As a Meta-Human, players harness the power of Stardust to survive, fight, build, and explore in a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction.

I was fortunate enough to be able to try out the Android demo for the upcoming Concerto on White, and I was pleasantly impressed by its blend of rhythm-based gaming, musical simulation, and visual novel style storytelling.

Assassin's Creed Mirage promises to be a refreshing return to the franchise's roots. Set against the historical backdrop of Baghdad, the game takes us back to the early years of the series, emphasizing parkour, stealth, and the art of assassination—a style reminiscent of the beloved Altair and Ezio eras. It's a deliberate shift away from the sprawling open-world RPGs and health sponges of enemies that have become the norm in recent Assassin's Creed titles.

The Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) game series — also previously known as Winning Eleven in some regions — has certainly come a long way. From its PlayStation “Goal Storm” roots to its rebranding into the now-fledgling free-to-play game eFootball, and now with its newest yearly iteration: eFootball 2024. Whether that journey has been for better or worse, well, I'd let my review speak for itself.
