7/10Now on Mobile (Cloud), It’s basically Brotato on steroids, but it needs more work | Wild Legion ReviewI’ve been on a rogue-like roll recently, and now we’re about to cover yet another game the in the genre with Wild Legion, an upcoming rogue-like survival game with some refreshing twists. I recently played the Demo available on Steam and it’s basically Brotato on steroids, featuring auto-attack horder survival gameplay filled with elements taken from other genres such as tower defense, twin-stick shooting, crafting, and questing. The game is still under development, and set to be release in Early Access on Q1 2024.

7/10Once Human is an upcoming fascinating amalgamation of multiple video game themes; Death Stranding, Control, and Alan Wake, blending post-apocalyptic and sci-fi elements into a genre that I somewhat found surprising and out-of-place, ---- an open-world sandbox. The game introduces players to a world ravaged by the Stardust, an alien entity infesting everything, turning them into monstrous forms. As a Meta-Human, players harness the power of Stardust to survive, fight, build, and explore in a world where humanity is on the brink of extinction.

The game is a top-down space shooter and seems to be a mash up of multiple genres. It features a Space Shooter premise, Vampire Survivor gameplay, Deck building mechanics, and Rogue-lite progression that all results into a unique experience that has translated well into mobile.

I was able to play a short Demo of Nine Sols, an upcoming 2D platformer with souls-lite and Sekiro elements. It's basically a mix of Taoism, Cyberpunk, Sekiro, and Metroidvania, resulting in a title that seems familiar and unique at the same time.

Over these past week I "participated" in the release of a brand new and ambitious horror game called Silent Hill Ascension, set in the iconic universe of the Silent Hill video game franchise. From the get go, it's a significant departure from the well-known Silent Hill survival horror gameplay style, moving towards a more Supermassive Games-style interactive storytelling akin to titles like Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology, and games such as The Quarry.
