You are fresh out of high school; no job, no experience, no goals in life. Intergalactic aliens invade and want to get high off of humans. You stumble upon a sentient talking pistol. What do you do? Why not hunt them for bounties, with firepower assistance from an arsenal of talking guns. High on Life is a new crazy game from the creator of the animated TV series Rick and Morty, that is literally high on all fronts; talking self-aware guns, weirding looking aliens to slaughter in style, and unfiltered abusive dialogue.

Glide your way into a satisfying melancholic lightshow in style. Solar Ash’s artistic style is as joyfully vibrant as it is depressingly dark, as you journey through and across space and time inside a blackhole called the Ultravoid.

When I played the original Hello Neighbor back in 2018, It was an intriguing family friendly puzzle stealth horror that was as frustrating as it exhilarating. Hello Neighbor 2 largely maintains the same formula, improving many mechanics from the first game but at the same time never really getting rid of the frustration factor.

Dodge ‘em up is a genre entirely new to me, and so far I like the concept. Swordship is one such game, it takes the notion of shoot ‘em up but removes the shooting part and makes the fundamental gameplay all about the art of dodging and deception.

It may seem like SYNCED is just another typical multiplayer out of thousands in an already heavily saturated market, but for me this game is really cooking something special. Imagine a cooperative / PvP looter shooter, rogue-lite, pokemon-symbiote game in a Skynet meets Zombies premise.

The heir apparent to the Dead Space series is now here. The Callisto Protocol is a great game and a worthy spiritual successor to the Dead Space series, but it's sadly disappointing to have such major performance issues on PC. With the full remake of the original Dead Space looming on the horizon, its now or never for The Callisto Protocol to impress us.

From the makers of the amazing Warhammer: Vermintide series comes another game, now set 40,000 years into the future: Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. This only means stuff like Guns and Chainswords are now available in your arsenal. The gameplay style that started with Left 4 Dead, the first person melee combat perfected by Vermintide, is now circling back to using guns again with Darktide.

At a glance, the gameplay and graphics of Soccer Story looks like a mashup of Pokemon and Stardew Valley with a nice touch of clean 3D graphics, but the comparisons end there, as within Soccer Story is a fun semi-physics driven gameplay that has a very healthy obsession with soccer.

The Steam Deck is a handheld PC / Console hybrid that is clearly one of a kind. It is everything I dreamt of and more. It meant that I can now take my existing PC library that I have built throughout the years, install it on the device, and play it just like at home. It has a console-like interface, simple to use and easy to get into playing, while hidden under it is a much more traditional PC setup, which you can access via Desktop mode.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is truly one of the better games to have come out two years ago on the PS5 and PS4, and now we are lucky for another Playstation port to PC with this weekend’s release.

Somerville is a sci-fi adventure / puzzle game where you control a man and his family caught up right in the middle of an alien invasion doomsday scenario. The opening sequence starts relatively slow: what's presented to you is a slice of life in a small farm house: A couple, a toddler, and a dog. The presentation feels very surreal that you almost can relate to it, especially with the random static noise emanating from the family TV. Then the mysterious somber nature ramps up rather quickly into a full blown alien invasion, perfectly capturing that feeling of being randomly caught up in it on a personal level. You can just about see yourself in the character’s shoes while playing. Imagining if such things happened to you and your family instead.

Somerville is a sci-fi adventure / puzzle game where you control a man and his family caught up right in the middle of an alien invasion doomsday scenario. The opening sequence starts relatively slow and gets intense pretty much immediately, perfectly capturing that feeling of being randomly caught up in a sudden alien invasion. There is no dialogue in the game and all of the story is only conveyed through the characters' actions and interactions with the environment, bolstered by the impressive art style and sound design. This is something that is very hard to pull off narratively but Somerville manages to somewhat pull it off anyway.

With how popular rogue-lite games are becoming lately, as well as the consistent popularity of the Ancient Rome setting throughout the years, I’m a bit surprised that we don’t have enough Gladiator style focused games already. Saturating the market like the zombie or world war tropes we have today. That soon is about to change, as we now have We Who Are About to Die, recently released on Early Access.
